Survey of Staff & Families

March 6th, 2020

All district faculty and staff were surveyed regarding their ability to use Google classroom and it's features in the event of a school closure. Families were also surveyed at this time to gather information regarding the technology available in their homes in the event of a school closure.

Administrative Team Meeting

March 9th, 2020

The Superintendent, Directors, Principals, and Supervisors met to develop a plan to continue instruction at every level in the event of a school closure taking place. A professional development plan was also created in response to the staff survey in order for teachers to be able to effectively deliver the instructional plan.

Administrator Training

March 10-11, 2020

All administrators were trained in Google Classroom and other methods for delivering remote instruction. Administrators were paired and assigned departments to work with. The district scheduled four early dismissals (one elementary, one secondary) in order for the administrators to properly train faculty and staff.

Faculty & Staff Training

March 12-13, 2020

Teachers met in their departments and were given a detailed overview the instructional plan. Teachers were trained in Google Classroom and methods for delivering remote instruction. Teachers and administrators collaboratively developed a format for lessons and activity/assessment options for teachers to utilize through the Google classroom.
